It also boasted advanced engineering with its innovative flat-plane crankshaft V8 engine. The 3.6-liter engine generated an impressive 400 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. It was the powerhouse in its time. Ferrari’s engine design was evident with, as it delivered power sticking to stringent emission standards.
The remarkable engine, introduced a cutting-edge suspension system that enhanced driving dynamics. Double wishbone suspension, and adaptive damping, enabled the driver to have better control and feel on the road. The adaptive damping system used electronic sensors to monitor road conditions.
Transmission
The Ferrari 360 was available in two transmission options: a six-speed manual and a six-speed electrohydraulic “F1” automated manual transmission. The F1 transmission offered lightning-fast gear changes, using steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters to mimic Formula 1 race car technology.
